NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [Q is N or CH; R<1> is H or (substituted)lower alkyl; ring A is pyridine or pyridazine ring wherein one H atom. of constituent C atom. is substituted with a group of formula II (R<2> is H or lower alkyl; n is 2-4)] and its salt. EXAMPLE:8-[2-(Aminothiazol-4-yl)-2(Z)-methoxyiminoacetamido]-3-{[5-(3- sulfamo ylpropylthio)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridinium-1-yl]methyl}-3-cephem-4-carboxylate of formula III. USE:An antibacterial agent against Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria. PREPARATION:A compound of formula IV [R<3> is (protected) amino; R<4> is OH, acyloxy, etc.] or its salt is made to react with a compound of formula V (ring A' is pyridine ring to imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine, etc.) or its salt. |
