A device for operating a three-phase asynchronous motor or the like. In order to make possible a disturbance in operation of the motor and simple actuating time adjustments without any mechanical gear stages, it is provided that a mains isolating contactor (3) is arranged in the asynchronous motor (1) supply line and an electronic reversing contactor (2) is arranged between the mains isolating contactor (3) and the asynchronous motor (1), and that the mains isolating contactor (3) and the reversing contactor (2) can be operated by a common controller (4) into which the operating commands for the asynchronous motor (1) are entered.
