The invention relates to a method for improving the discharge technique for liquid manure used for agricultural purposes, by employing organic fibres from refuse and waste utilisation. Organic fibres are porous and therefore absorb the liquid manure. The two materials, namely the organic fibre and the liquid manure, are agglomerated according to a particular embodiment of the invention. The liquid manure bound to the organic fibre can be discharged onto the fields by means of the conventional agricultural appliances in the same way as a solid manure. A further advantage is afforded in that the organic fibre exercises an odour-binding effect on the liquid manure. This discharge technique according to the invention offers a series of advantages which relieve the environment, for example a reduction in odour, no dissipation of nitrate into the groundwater, longer-lasting binding of nutrients, etc.
