The casting for a roller shutter has sides of polystyrene foam (''Styropor (RTM)'' in particular); the exterior face of at least one side has a sheet (or layer) of a plastic material which is impervious to water and water-repellent and has a rough surface. This sheet is pref. an extruded polystyrene foam (and ''Styrodur'' (RTM) in particular). ADVANTAGE - The prod. is inexpensive and simple to make without complicated appts. It is stable and plaster adheres well to it.
