The invention relates to a junction from a coaxial cable (1) to an axially parallel waveguide (2) by means of a magnetic coupling loop. The coaxial cable (1), which is bent at right angles at its end, is passed into the waveguide (2) through one end (4) of said waveguide (2) (Fig. 1). The inner conductor (3) of the coaxial cable (1) is electrically connected to the wall of the waveguide (2). The connection point is so far removed from the end (4) of the waveguide (2) that the coupling loop produced by the electrical connection of the inner conductor (3) to the wall of the waveguide (2) is >/= one wavelength. <IMAGE>
