PURPOSE:To prevent breakdown through simple structure, by detecting secondary winding voltage corresponding to current flowing through a choke coil and controlling output from a control circuit based on a detection result. CONSTITUTION:A power source equipment comprises an inverter 1 having a DC power source 2, transistors 3-4 and a control circuit 5 and a DC resonant circuit having a transformer 21, a choke coil 8, a discharge lamp 9 and the like. Secondary windings 15a-15b wound around choke coils 8a-8b and a detection circuit 16 for detecting the output voltage from the secondary windings and controlling the output from a control circuit 14 are provided. The detection circuit 16 comprises diodes 17, 18, a capacitor 19, a resistor 20 and a comparison circuit 14. Since resonant current flows and the output from a control circuit 5 is controlled from a detected resonant current, breakdown of the power source equipment due to continuously flowing resonant current can be prevented. |
