<p>A filter for removing impurities from liquid media such as lubricating oils, fuels for internal combustion engines, hydraulic fluids or similar, comprises a housing (1) composed of a plurality of parts (1', 1'', 1'''). Between adjacent parts, one of which has an intake chamber (3) for the impure medium and the other of which has an outlet chamber (5) for the purified medium, is arranged a filter sieve (2) which interconnects the intake chamber (3) and the outlet chamber (5). These chambers are also interconnected by a bypass channel (7) containing a safety valve (8) which opens in the event of overpressure in the intake chamber (3) and in so doing actuates an electric switch which activates a display and/or switching device.</p> |
