A power supply for I<2>L gates generates two part-currents which are different from one another during the time in which the part-currents are running up to their final value after the operating voltage has been applied, but have not yet reached this final value. The two part-currents are equal if possible when they have reached their final value. The two part-currents flow in two separate supply lines of an I<2>L logic. One supply line is connected to a first group of gates and a second supply line is connected to a second group of gates. At least one gate of the first group is cross-coupled to at least one gate of the second group.
