Sliding sleeve for a speed governor

For reasons of strength, sliding sleeves which are used in speed governors are generally manufactured from sintered metal in order to transmit the adjusting movements from the measuring mechanism of the speed governor to the control lever. Sliding sleeves made from sintered metal have the disadvantage that owing to the high weight they have a detrimental influence on the control characteristic. These disadvantages are avoided by the sliding sleeve (7) according to the invention, in that it is composed of different materials. The basic body (9) is made from thermosetting plastic whereas in the area of the bearing points of the centrifugal weights (2) and the control lever (3), discs (4, 6) preferably of steel are fitted on the basic body (9) (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
