<p>According to the invention this immobilising cage is parallelepipedic in shape, possesses a lid (8) hinging on at least one horizontal pin and is fitted with an immobilising device having means for keeping the head still and extending the neck of the bird. These means consist of the lid (8) which for this purpose has a longitudinal slot (9) of a width corresponding to the neck of the animal, said slot (9) running back from the forward end (83) of the lid (8) and being associated with a securing pin (11) for preventing the head from passing through, while the sides (91, 92) of this slot (9) are designed to come under each side of the head and pull the animal upwards so as to immobilise and extend the neck when the lid (8) is swung over on its horizontal pin(s). <IMAGE></p> |
