PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of illegal transaction and the forgery of a transaction slip by providing the titled system with a means for forming individual transaction codes from a code common in the system and different codes for respective IC cards. CONSTITUTION:When a card owner inputs an identification (ID) number, a shopping mode, shopping amount, and a date, the IC card forms the amount and the date on respectively different transaction codes A, B from the system common code and a personal code different in each IC card based on the same algorithm (f) and displays the codes A, B on a display part of the IC card. Then, a clerk sets up the IC card in a terminal equipment and inputs the amount and date, so that the terminal equipment forms the transaction code A and the clerk collates the formed code A wit the transaction code A of the card. Then the clerk inputs the transaction code B, outputs the code B on a slip and delivers the IC card and the slip to the card owner. Consequently, damage due to the forgery of a transaction medium and a transaction slip can be reduced. |
