PARKING ZONE CONTROL SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To attain the automatic processing of a vehicle entering into a reserved parking zone by reading out number plate information and deciding whether the vehicle is a reserved vehicle or an unreserved one. CONSTITUTION:Parking zone information is supplied from a display part 10 through a terminal equipment 8 set up on a place such as a telephone box other than the parking zone and park reserving information is inputted from a card insertion port 9 or a key operation part 11 to receive a parking request. Information such as the number plate of the vehicle is recorded in a portable card 12 of a user by a key operation part 11 in the terminal equipment 8. Number plate readers 4 are set up on the inlet 1 and outlet 5 of the parking zone, the number plate of the entered vehicle is read out and collated with that of the reserved vehicle, and when the number plate read out at the outlet coincides with the number read out at the inlet, entrance/exit processing such as the calculation of the parking time and parking fee of the vehicle concerned and the adjustment of the parking fee is automatically executed.
