PURPOSE:To obtain the max. receiving sensitivity corresponding to the distance from a probe to a diagnostic place, by making it possible to change the inductance value of an ultrasonic probe corresponding to the distance from the probe to the diagnostic point of an examinee. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic probe 15A has a fixed coil 24 and a variable diode 29 connected in series therein. The diode 29 changes in its capacity by the depth signal 301E sent out from a DSC (digital scanning converter) 1. By this capacity change, the synthetic inductance value consisting of the coil 24 and the diode 29 changes. Electrical resonance frequency is made variable corresponding to a diagnostic distance by the change in the inductance value. Therefore, the max. receiving sensitivity is obtained corresponding to the distance from the ultrasonic probe to a diagnostic point. |
