<p>PURPOSE:To shorten a cassette replacing time, by providing an engagement releasing means to release an engagement with an engaging member capable of engaging with a part to be engaged and a part to be engaged of the cassette of the engaging member by abutting on the engaging member, with the cassette holder means of a cassette carriage to send out and pull in a desired cassette. CONSTITUTION:When a desired cassette 100 is transferred to a recording and reproducing device 2, an engaging part 39 is abutted on a first position on the end surface of the cassette 100, transferable to an insertion opening 15 of the recording and reproducing device 2 by a transferring means. When the cassette is transferred from the insertion opening 15 of the recording and reproducing device 2 to the sending-out opening of a cassette carriage means 1, the engaging member 39 is engaged by the part to be engaged of the cassette at a second position. The engagement of the engaging member 39 is released by being abutted and turned by an engagement releasing means 41 at a first position. Thus, a time loss necessary for a control is saved and a cassette replacing time can be shortened.</p> |
