PURPOSE:To enable a mobile body discriminating device to read out information peculiar to a mobile body by an interrogator and to rewrite information in a responder of the mobile body by transmitting two different frequencies in time series. CONSTITUTION:When a signal processor 18 receives a control signal having a frequency f1 from an interrogator 101 through a demodulator 16, a CPU in the signal processor 18 modulates a frequency f2 by data information stored in a RAM and transmits it to the interrogator 11. The interrogator 11 receives this frequency by a transmission/reception antenna 13 and detects it to take out data information. In case of the change of data information held in a responder 201, the interrogator 101 transmits the control modulated signal having the frequency f1 including write and write data. The responder 201 demodulates it by the demodulator 16 and rewrites the contents of the RAM in accordance with the write instruction signal.
