<p>A process for the preparation of 2-¢2-((5-dimethyl-aminomethyl)furan-2-ylmethylthio)ethylamino!-5-(6-methylpyrid-3-ylmethyl)pyrimid-4-one which comprises the reaction of 2-¢2- (furan-2-ylmethylthio)ethylamino!-5-(6-methylpyrid-3-ylmethyl)-pyrimid-4-one dlhydrochloride with an organic solution of bis(dimethylamino)methane at a pH of about 1.3 to about 2.0. The product is a useful H2-antagonist.</p> |
