PURPOSE:To prevent the mis-selection of a paper feeding cassette from being generated, by inspecting the state of the paper feeding cassette loaded on a paper feeding opening and that of a sheet, and starting up the selection means of the paper feeding cassette based on the inspection signal. CONSTITUTION:The sheet P loaded in the paper feeding cassette to be loaded in plural paper feeding openings attachably and detachably freely is fed by a supplying means which supplies the sheet to the paper feeding opening so as to be fed, and also, the completion of the paper feeding of the sheet is detected by a detection means 80, and after detection, the states of the paper feeding cassette and the sheet P in the paper feeding cassette are inspected by inspection means 84 and 85, and a corresponding paper feeding cassette out of the paper feeding cassettes loaded in the paper feeding openings is selected by the selection means started up by the signals issued from the inspection means 84 and 85. In such a way, the paper feeding cassette can be selected correctly. |
