<p>PURPOSE:To permit switching from initial exciting to self exciting without providing a contactor for initial exciting with intercepting capacity, by providing a pulse-up commanding contact for the full forcing of the output of a thyristor bridge. CONSTITUTION:When a generator 1 is accelerated to the proximity of rated rotation, a field breaker 7 and a contactor for initial exciting are thrown to supply initial exciting current from a battery 15 to the field coil 4 of the generator 1. When a pulse generator 11 has arrived at a controllable generator voltage, a pulse-up commanding contact 20 is closed. As a result, the full forcing of the output of a thyristor bridge 9 is effected. According to this method, a voltage at the side of the thyristor bridge 9 becomes higher than an initial exciting circuit voltage and a current, conducted through the contactor 12 for initial exciting, becomes zero. At this time, the contactor 12 for initial exciting and the pulse-up commanding contact 20 are opened simultaneously.</p> |
