摘要 PURPOSE: To reduce the expenditure for power as much as possible required for an external cold heat source utilizing cycle under a sufficient utilization of cold heat of LNG by a method wherein inert gas is compressed by a compressor up to such a pressure as one required for liquefying the gas through its heat exchanging operation. CONSTITUTION: Inert gas giving cold heat required for an air separator 1 is taken out by a conduit 2, fed to a recycle heat exchanger 3, merged with inert gas of low temperature taken out by a conduit 16 and then guided to a compressor 5. The inert gas of low temperature is compressed by the compressor 5 at a low temperature down to such a pressure as one required for liquefying through a heat exchanging with LNG, either a part of or entire inert gas is supplied to an LNG heat exchanger 8. At the LNG heat exchanger 8, the inert gas of low temperature is liquefied by LNG. The liquefied inert gas liquefied by the LNG heat exchanger 8 is taken out by a conduit 11, fed to the recycle heat exchanger 3 to cool the inert gas fed from the conduit 2 and taken out by the conduit 17 and fed to the air separator l.
