PURPOSE: To generate the fundamental tone of an accompaniment line in consideration of a melody dominant tone by providing a fundamental tone estimating means which estimates the fundamental tone of a noticed section in consideration of the melody dominant tone which is extracted by a melody dominant tone extraction means with respect to this section. CONSTITUTION: A melody dominant tone extraction means 12 which operates evaluation functions based on the tone length and intra-section positions of individual tones by tone pitches or tone names with respect to the melody line of each section and evaluates the pitch or the tone name having a peak evaluation function as the melody dominant tone of the section and a fundamental tone estimation means which estimates the fundamental tone of a noticed section in consideration of the tone extracted as the melody dominant tone of this section by the extraction means 12 are provided. Thus, the fundamental tone of the accompaniment line where the melody dominant tone is taken into consideration is generated. First to 13th operation means 7 to 17 constitute fundamental estimation means having different estimation logics. A CPU 1 gives priority levels of estimation to these operation means 7 to 17 to control them. |
