PURPOSE:To prevent a mis-operation from being generated, by providing a releasing means which releases a designated image forming mode after completing an image forming operation in case of detecting the closure of a switch cover by a cover open/close detecting means while an image forming means executes the image forming operation under a designated mode. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with the cover open/close detecting means 240 which detects the opening/closing state of the switch cover 211, and the releasing means which releases the designated image forming mode after completing the image forming operation in case of detecting the closure of the switch cover 211 by the cover open/close detecting means 240 while executing the image forming operation under the designated mode by the image forming means. By closing the switch cover 211 while executing the image forming operation, mode designation by a switch arranged in the switch cover 211 is released based on a condition that the image forming operation is completed. In other words, it is possible to easily discriminate whether or not the mode by the switch is designated from the opening/closing state of the switch cover 211. Thereby, whether or not the switch in the switch cover 211 is inputted can be easily discriminated without opening the switch cover 211. |
