Process for the manufacture of bleached chemimechanical or chemithermal mechanical pulps from wood chips, in which the chips are treated with chemical products and are ground, then the pulp thus obtained is bleached, beaten and graded, characterised in that the wood chips are first of all coarsely ground and treated with chemical agents in a first twin-screw machine, then this material is introduced into a second twin-screw machine in which a refining of the grinding and the washing and bleaching operations are performed, and the pulp obtained is finally beaten and graded.
