Water heating tank of the type comprising a volume 1 with a connector 2 for inlet of cold water to be heated and a connector 3 for distribution of heated water and means for heating the water comprising a primary circuit for a heating fluid characterised in that the heating means comprise a heat exchanger 12 inserted into the primary circuit and located outside the volume 1 and one end of which is connected to the lower end of the volume 1 and the other end of which is connected to the upper end of the latter and a pump 9 sucking water into the volume close to the bottom of the latter and discharging it at the upper end of the said volume 1 through the exchanger 12. <IMAGE>
