PURPOSE:To effectively utilize a recording medium and to simplify information control by forming a laser recording area and a magnetic recording area for a rewriting in an optical disk medium and constituting a recording head of an optical head and a magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:An optical disk device 1 equips a laser recording area 3 covered with a metallic coat and a magnetic recording area 4 formed by applying a magnetic substance to the central part of the disk with a prescribed width. On the other hand, a recording head 2 is composed of an optical head 8 and a magnetic head 9. The optical head 8 and the magnetic head 9 are arranged in the lower direction of the optical disk medium 1, conducted by a head conducting rail 10 and positioned in the prescribed position of the laser recording area 3 and the magnetic recording area 4 respectively. When the data, for example, an index data, etc., of which the frequency of a renewing is large, are processed, the magnetic head 9 is used and a magnetic recording is executed to the magnetic recording area 4. When the data of which the frequency of the renewing is small are processed, the optical head 9 is used and a laser following recording is executed to the laser recording area 3. |
