PURPOSE:To perform heat exchanging of high efficiency by repeating the process of allowing the raw material which is falling in the route turning and refracting from the unit in the uppermost end down to the unit of the lowermost end to contact the hot gas blowing out into the raw material passage through the cylinder inside and duct from a circular space. CONSTITUTION:The material to be heated is charged through a feed port 6 from the unit B in the uppermost end. In the unit B of each stage, the waste gas from a rotary kiln C enters the gas inlets 12 of the units B existing adjacently in the upper positions successively through a circular space R, a cylindrical body 8, a window hole 10 and a duct 11. Therefore, the charged raw material is flushed and suspended by the gas flow while falling down along the sloped walls of the respective units, and is pressed to the outside walls by centrifugal forces. While repeating falling, it is collected in the lower part of the V-shaped space V, and falls into the units B in the lower positions by alternate opening and closing of airlock dampers 13, 14. On the other hand, the hot gas flow reaches the upper units successively while being accelerated, and during this process the heat exchanging of the raw material and the hot gas is effected. |
