METHOD FOR DISPERSING FIBER FOR REINFORCEMENT

PURPOSE:To easily and uniformly disperse short fibers in a matrix by drying and crushing a dispersion body contg. the fibers uniformly dispersed with a dispersant to form small fiber aggregated bodies and by mixing and dispersing the bodies in a material to be reinforced with fibers. CONSTITUTION:A liq. mixture of water with a surfactant or a polymer dispersant is prepd. Part of a material to be reinforced with fibers and/or a powdery filler to be added is dispersed in the lig. mixture together with short fibers. The resulting dispersion body is dried and crushed to small lumps. The crushed product is mixed and dispersed in the material to be reinforced with fibers.
