At this time, the incision part 5 of the conductive wire exposed to the outside is engaged with the recessed part 16 of the flexible sheath 1 to be received in said recessed part 16. Subsequently, the flexible sheath 1 to which the bending habit is suitably formed is inserted in the body cavity through the channel of an endoscope and, when the conductive wire 4 is drawn in the operating part on a hand side, the incision part 5 of said conductive wire 4 is tensioned in a bowstring shape to form an incising knife. A high frequency current is passed through the conductive wire 4 in this state to perform the incision of the papillary sphincter of the duodenum. The conductive wire forming the incision part is not exposed to the outside when the bending habit is imparted to the flexible sheath and prevented from bending in a lateral direction.
