The invention relates to a heat-insulating composite profile, a process for the production thereof, and a punching/bending tool used in the production process. The composite profile (1) is made up of two spaced-apart metal profile bars (4, 4') which are parallel in the profile longitudinal direction (2) and have in each case at least one groove (6) running continuously in the profile longitudinal direction (2), and at least one cross-sectionally essentially U-shaped insulating profile (5) which connects the profile bars (4, 4'). The U-base web (10) of said insulating profile spans the separating joint (3) between the profile bars (4, 4'). Each of the U-leg webs (12) engages into the groove openings (7) of the profile bars (4, 4') and is embedded in a positively locking manner in the grooves (6), by means of the application of ultrasound. The grooves (6) of the profile bars (4) are undercut beneath the groove openings (7) and thus form groove webs (16) which flank the groove openings (7). In order to form a plurality of barb-like protrusions (22) effective in the profile longitudinal direction (2), the groove webs (16) are bent off in the direction of the groove base (21), such that they project into the undercut regions (23) of the profile-bar grooves (6). The U-leg webs (12) of the insulating profile (5) are also embedded in a positively locking manner into the undercut regions (23) of the profile-bar grooves (6) by means of the application of ultrasound, such that they engage behind the groove webs (16) with their barb-like protrusions (22). <IMAGE> |
