SWIVEL SNAP HOOK OF SYNTHETIC RESIN AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A hook has a unitary hook member pivotally connected to an eye and having a body extending from one side of a base and a closure tongue from the base to normally close the hook and resiliently deformable for opening. The tongue free end is inwardly of the body free end with a small gap between them. The tongue is pref. parallel to the general plane of the body free end when unstressed, and its free end is inwardly bent. The body pref. has a straight stem projecting perpendicularly from the base and a hooked part laterally from the stem lower end, with a projection inwardly from the stem and slightly below the tongue free end to prevent interference when the tongue is inwardly depressed. The method of moulding the hook is claimed. -
