A bullet-proof front or rear window for a motor vehicle is distinguished by the fact that it consists of a windscreen (1) and/or rear window (2) which is matched to the shape of the body of the motor vehicle, forms the outer skin of the motor vehicle, is of usual design and has in each case a separate pane (4) and/or (12) of armoured glass. The armoured glass panes (4; 12) are arranged inside the body of the vehicle at a distance from the windscreen or rear window at a steeper installation angle than the said windows and, in contrast to the windscreen and rear window, are planar or only slightly curved. <IMAGE>
