PURPOSE:To prevent the hunting phenomenon of speed change by providing a speed change property altering means for altering the speed change property of an automatic transmission to the direction difficult to produce shift-down when a slip is controlled by a slip controlling means. CONSTITUTION:An automatic transmission A mounted on an automobile transmits torque generated in a power source B and having speed automatically changed according to a predetermined speed change property to a driving wheel C. Then, a generated torque adjusting means D such as throttle valve for adjusting torque generated in the power source B and a slip detecting means E for detecting the slip condition of the driving wheel C relative to a road surface are provided. The means D is controlled by a slip controlling means F according to the detecting result of slip condition to converge the slip of driving wheel C to a predetermined desired value. Also, in this slip control, the speed change property of automatic transmission A is adapted to be changed to the direction difficult to generate shift-down by a speed change property altering means G. |
