PURPOSE:To send sufficiently content to a receiver with simple constitution by registering character information to a character pattern registration means of a receiver receiving a radio wave sent from a transmission station, converting a received numeral code into a predetermined character code string and displaying the character pattern according to the character code string. CONSTITUTION:A radio wave sent from a radio transmission station 1 of a paging system is received by a receiver 2 carrier by an individual and it is discriminated by a control section 4 that the radio wave received by a reception section 3 is its own calling and a beep tone is generated from an incoming tone generating section 11. Moreover, a code corresponding to a demodulated message is outputted to a code storage section 5 and a numeric code is read from the storage section 5 by the control section 4 by the operation of the manual switch connected to the control section 4 to output it to a character code conversion section 7. Then the character code conversion section 7 uses the character pattern of a character pattern registration section 8 to convert the character code into the character pattern and to display it on a character display section 9. |
