PURPOSE:To prevent the leaking out of enzyme so that a biosubstrate can be measured with high accuracy by providing a conductive layer on an insulating substrate, coating the surface thereof with an enzyme immobilized layer and immobilizing the enzyme, thereby constituting an enzyme sensor. CONSTITUTION:An iridium oxide layer 2 which is the conductive layer is formed by sputtering on, for example, glass 1 as the insulating substrate. A lead wire 4 is connected to this iridium oxide layer 2 to constitute an electrode substrate. The enzyme immobilized layer 6 is coated on this layer 2. The enzyme immobilized layer 6 is formed by immobilizing glucose oxidase on, for example, a pyrrole layer. A tripole cell consisting of this enzyme sensor as a working electrode as well as a reference electrode Ag/AgCl and a silver wire which is a counter electrode is constituted to measure the concn. of glucose by a potential difference. Since the enzyme immobilized layer is provided on the conductive layer, the leaking out of the enzyme is prevented and the immobilized layer having a uniform layer thickness is obtd. The biosubstrate is thus measured with high accuracy. |
