PURPOSE:To obtain a copying device facilitated display change and generation of no program miss, etc., by storing a data for a display, in an attached external storage device. CONSTITUTION:On this side of the operation side of a copying machine body 1 having platen glass 2 and a form cassette 4 and 5, an operation display part 3 having an operating key group 31 and a display part 32 on the surface is provided, and to the side face of this side, an external storage device having a loading part 7 of an IC card 6 and a store part 18 for containing plural sheets of cards is attached closely. The body 1 is constituted in such a way, and the operation display part 3 is operated by a control part 9 provided on the outside. That is, a document is placed on the glass 2 and the cover is closed, and the number of copying sheets is set, and thereafter, copying is started by operating a copying key in the operating key group 31. In such a case, a message which appears on the display part 2 in the display part 3 is executed by reading out a display data stored in a ROM 18 by a CPU 17, and a message conforming to a display condition is outputted. In such a way, a state in an apparatus, a display for urging a specific work, a jammed paper obviating method, etc. are displayed. |
