<p>A sand-filled artificial turf, in particular for use in the region of sports facilities, comprising a water-permeable elastic layer (2) of foam applied to the substrate (1) and an artificial turf covering, with a quartz-sand filling, applied thereon. The elastic layer (2) contains a lower layer and an upper layer (4, 5) of crosslinked polyethylene foamed so as to be closed-celled and an intermediate layer (6) arranged therebetween, of a mesh structure. The latter also consists of polyethylene. The mesh structure on the one hand and, on the other hand, the lower layer in the region of the meshes of the mesh structure is adhesively bonded to the upper layer. Furthermore, the elastic layer (2) is penetrated vertically, in regions having a mutual spacing, by water drainage openings (7). <IMAGE></p> |
