Display for impermissible operating states, especially in the case of domestic appliances

Instances of defects must be displayed exactly and permanently. Known defect displays have an additional two-pole temperature regulator which is adjusted to a higher level. In the absence of the operating regulator, this connects a display means to voltage. The second contact takes over control of the apparatus after a time delay. The duration for which the display is switched on is a function of the switching difference of the second temperature regulator, and the response of the display means is a function of the switching accuracy of both regulators. The new display precludes switching inaccuracies and signals instances of defects permanently. Two heating resistors (R1, R2) are thermally coupled to a temperature-dependent resistor (NTC theta ) which has a high impedance in the cold state. A voltage is connected to the glow lamp (H), said voltage being below the triggering limit of said glow lamp. If (f10) opens, (R1) heats the (NTC theta ) whose impedance becomes low. The voltage at (H) rises and (H) triggers. If (f10) closes, (R2) heats the (NTC theta ). The display status is maintained. Brief opening (f10) does not cause the display to trip. The display is suitable for use as a fluff-warning display in the case of washer driers and as a scaling-up display for coffee machines. <IMAGE>
