The invention relates to a cutter mounting for the cutter head of a wood-chipping machine, in which a full-thickness cutter with integrated scorer remains firmly connected to its cutter support even during regrinding. What is considered essential is that the cutter support can be displaced with two sliding faces inside the chip discharge strip until all of the scorer ribs slide into the most favourable position in terms of chipping, when the centrifugal wedge moves into working position. In this arrangement, the full-thickness cutters, screwed onto their cutter support, can be radially or coaxially withdrawn or inserted into the cutter head with or without associated chip discharge strip.
