The invention relates to a safety fitting for window wings, with a telescopic swivel device limiting the opening angle of the wing. In known fittings of this type, for example for tilting windows, the swivel device is designed as a catching scissor mechanism in the vertical rebate region between the wing and fixed frame. It prevents the wing from tilting beyond a specific opening angle. In the industry, glass damage often occurs in the window region, caused by the pressure waves from explosions taking place in the field. The object on which the invention is based is to provide a safety fitting which guarantees that, in the event of an explosive pressure wave acting on the wing, the wing opens, without at the same time being damaged. The solution according to the invention provides for the safety fitting 4, 10 to have a release device, for example in the form of a predetermined breaking point 75, which, under the effect of the explosive pressure wave, releases the wing 1 for movement into an open position, and for arranging in the region of the guide of the arms 11, 12 of the swivel device 10 a damping rubber 15 which, in the event of a pressure wave acting on the wing 1, is compressed and blocks the guide of the arms 11, 12. <IMAGE>
