PURPOSE:To obtain always stably fine powder of a raw material for a superconductor having uniform and desired compsn. by using a specified precipitation process in a stage for coprecititating fine powder of a raw material for an oxide superconductor having a specified compsn. CONSTITUTION:A precipitate contg. an element A of the group IIa of the periodic table, an element B of the group IIIa of the periodic table, and at least an element C selected from the group Ib, IIb, IIIb, VIIIa, and IVa is precipitated from a soln. contg. metal salts of A, B and C with a precipitating agent. An oxide superconductor expressed by the general formula: (A1-XBX)CYOZ [wherein each A, B, and C is an above described element; X is an atomic ratio of B to (A+B), wherein 0.1<=X<=0.9; each Y and Z is an atomic ratio of C and O basing on the value of (A1-XBX) being 1, wherein each Y and Z is defined by 0.3<=Y<=3; and 0.1<=Z<=5] is obtd. by recovering the obtd. precipitate, then drying and sintering. In this case, the precipitate is formed by dropping a soln. contg. said metal salts to the precipitating agent. Suitable precipitating agent is preferred to be a soln. of oxalic acid in an org. solvent (pref. ethanol). |
