A particularly simple and universally applicable device for sorting parts of varying size, in particular injection mouldings (17) of plastic and the associated sprues (18), is proposed. The starting point is a plurality of slender rolls (5, 6) which are arranged in parallel, whose mutual spacing is adjustable and which delimit between them gaps (19) adjusted to the size of the smaller parts (17). The characterising feature is that the rolls (5, 6) are accommodated in fixed rotary bearings and form a conveying grid and that at least some of the rolls (6) have helically running circumferential grooves (8). The rolls are driven with varying directions of rotation, but such that the wandering movement of all circumferential grooves (8) runs in the same direction. The rolls may be driven by means of an elastic endless belt (13) looped around them, preferably successive rolls counter directionally. The rotary bearings may, for adjustment of the spacing, be firmly clampable in a rail (4), which is C-shaped in cross-section, of a vertically adjustable frame (1, 2) (see drawing). <IMAGE>
