<p>A method and a device for parking a vehicle is described, the wheels of which vehicle are connected via a steering mechanism to a steering wheel (2), having a drive motor, a coupling, an auxiliary power source and a shift gear (25) with a plurality of forward gears and one reverse gear. A steering actuator (17) which can be set to two mutually opposite directions of action and shift actuators (23, 24) in each case for the forward gear and the reverse gear can be made ready for operation if a speed threshold is undershot by the vehicle and the coupling is open. By means of a steering lever (1) which can be actuated manually the respective gear is selected, by which means the corresponding shift actuator is connected to the auxiliary power source. Afterwards, the coupling is closed. After the acceleration of the vehicle, the direction of action of the steering actuator (17) is selected with the steering lever (1), by which means the said actuator is connected to the auxiliary power source in accordance with the course of the vehicle. <IMAGE></p> |
