PURPOSE:To secure safety even if abnormality occurs in a signal transmission route by making an operation instruction signal to be sent from a system controller to a combustion controller for controlling a combustion device a digital pulse signal. CONSTITUTION:A system controller 2, if an operation instruction is inputted, outputs a pulse signal to a combustion controller 1. When the combustion controller receives a normal pulse signal, the controller operates a combustion device 4 according to a specified procedure to heat water coming from an engine section 6. The heated water is sent with a pump 10 to a heater core 8 to heat air from a fan 9 and to send the heated air to a room. Here, the pulse signal is sent only when the combustion device 4 is operated normally from the combustion controller 1 to the system controller 2. If abnormality occurs in the device, a pulse other than the pulse signal, either of the binary signals for example, at a fixed level is produced and the device is automatically brought to a stop mode. The safety of the device is secured in this way. |
