PURPOSE:To enable the title device to surely join sheet materials along with attaining simplification and miniaturisation of structure, by a method wherein the fringes of sheet materials are drawn near to a central side from both the top and bottom sides at the same time and joined to each other by means of the rotation of truncated conical rollers and main receiving rollers. CONSTITUTION:The title device is established so that a space among truncated conical rollers 20, 21 and main receiving rollers 8, 9 is controlled by a stopper bolt 45 according to thickness of sheet materials 1, 2 and pressing force due to a spring 47 is set to have a predetermined value. Then a space between the fringes of the right and left sheet materials 1, 2 is decided and the title device is kept inserting into the space between the sheet materials 1, 2 with a guide plate 6 forward through an end side in a widthward direction of the sheet materials 1, 2. The whole of the device is kept moving in an advancing direction by holding a handle 50 under a state where a pair of the truncated conical rollers 20, 21 are turned by a motor 52. In this instance, the fringes of the sheet material 1, 2 are put among the truncated conical rollers 20, 21 and main receiving rollers 8, 9 vertically. The fringes of the sheet materials 1, 3 are drawn near to a central side due to a rotation of those rollers 20, 21, 8, 9 and the end faces of both the sheet materials 1, 2 are joined to each other under a state where they are butted against each other. |
