PURPOSE:To inspect a light condensing width, quantity-of-light distribution and illuminance deviation on the linear light condensing part, by scanning a unidimensional image sensor in the longitudinal direction of a light emitting diode arranged light source. CONSTITUTION:A unidimensional image sensor 11 having a fine pixel pitch of 14mum is arranged to the linear condensing part on a light emitting diode arranged light source at an angle right-angled to the longitudinal direction of a light source 1 and, while the image sensor 11 is scanned in the longitudinal direction of the light source 1 by a stepping motor 12 having resolving power of 40mum, the quantity of the light of the linear condensing part is converted to an analogue electric signal which is, in turn, further converted to a digital signal by an 8-bit A/D converter 13 and data processing is performed by a personal computer 14 to measure optical characteristics (illuminance, illuminance deviation, a condensing width). By this method, the optical characteristics can be measured so that illuminance is measured with the 8-bit resolving power of the converter, illuminance deviation is measured with the resolving power of the pitch of 40mum of the motor 12 and, further, the condensing width is measured with the resolving power of a fine pixel pitch of 14mum of the image sensor 11. |
