PURPOSE:To obtain a durable separation membrane resistant to chlorine by mixing the aromatic diamine compd. having a diphenylsulfone unit and the aromatic diamine compd. having a carbonyl group substituted for the hydrogen on the benzene ring or its derivative to form the diamine component of the membrane. CONSTITUTION:The aromatic diamine compd. such as 4,4'-diaminodiphenyl sulfone shown by the general formula A and the aromatic diamine compd. such as 3,5-diaminobenzoic acid shown by the general formula B are mixed in the molar ratio of 85/5-40/60, the mixture is dissolved in a solvent such as N-methylpyrrolidone, an acidic component such as isophthalic acid chloride is added, solution polymerization is carried out, and an aromatic copolymerized amide is obtained. The polymer is dissolved in a solvent such as N,N'- dimethylacetamide, the soln. is applied on a glass plate, the plate is dipped in a poor solvent such as water, and an asymmetric membrane is obtained. |
