Ultrasound is used to determine the degree of adherence between an explosive (4) and a delimiting surface of a delimiting wall (2, 3). The measurements are carried out in two different runs, on the one hand in the form of a preparatory measurement run in which the explosive has not yet been applied against the delimiting surface and, on the other hand, in the form of a main measurement run in which the explosive has been applied. In the measurement run without explosive, the delimiting surface may if appropriate have been provided with a lacquer layer (5) designed to increase the adherence of the explosive. In both measurement runs, two different measurement series are carried out. The ultrasound is directed towards either the inner surface of the delimiting wall or its outer surface. Reflected ultrasonic signals are received and recorded. Ratios between related inner surface echoes and outer surface echoes are calculated, and the difference between the ratios for the preparatory measurement run and the main measurement run represents a very good measurement of the degree of adherence. |
