Ice creams in cylindrical containers with one end closed are made by (a) impregnating the inside of the container with the selected covering for the ice cream; (b) adding a measured amount of ice cream mixt.; (c) closing the other end; and (d) freezing the assembly. The mfg. process includes forming the containers form film, placing them over transverse rows of cylinders on a conveyor with intermittent movement, spraying with the covering through a group of nozzles, passing over another group of nozzles to insert measured amounts of ice cream, and finally over a dispenser of closures and a heat sealing device. The fitted and sealed containers fall onto another conveyor passing through the freezing tunnel while the first conveyor with cylinders attached returns to the start. start.
