The invention relates to a spray-sealed projector suitable for outdoor installations and indoors. The aim of the invention is to reduce the outlay on production and assembly, and to reach the field of application of projectors with simple means. This aim is achieved when the projector housing consists of an extruded endless section, or is assembled from segments of this section, whose housing shell is provided with integrally formed parts, grooves, longitudinal sectioning and a pinch section. Provided in the interior is a chassis plane which bears the essential electrical components and can be adjusted axially for the purpose of focusing the light beam. A clamping ring from the same endless section serves to press on a disc. The projector housing and clamping ring are joined by screws with the interposition of a seal. A socket corresponding to the degree of protection is arranged on the cover. In order to produce autonomous socket distributions, sockets can be provided for a segment of the extruded endless section having two covers.
