PURPOSE:To improve the watertight property between a metal cover and a cable core by winding a semiconductive sheet tape formed by furnishing a painted layer of a highly water-absorbing type resin on the surface, over a stranded conductor filled with a watertight material between bare wires, and furthermore, furnishing a metal cover thereover. CONSTITUTION:Over a watertight stranded wire conductor obtained by stranding copper bare wires while filling an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer between the bare wires, an outer cover which consists of a bridged polyethylene insulator and a semiconductive polyethylene is formed. Then, over the outer cover, a semiconductive water-absorbing tape produced by pasting and impregnating a semiconductive butyl rubber paint mixed with an aqua keep is wrapped, over which a metal cover is further furnished. In such a composition, an excellent watertight property can be obtained between the core and the metal cover. |
