PURPOSE:To simplify the production and allow the large scale-up by using fluid bed electrodes for hydrogen and oxygen electrodes respectively in a hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell. CONSTITUTION:A hydrogen fluid bed electrode 2 and an oxygen fluid bed electrode 3 with the same structure are inserted into a constant temperature bath 1, and gas guiding pipes 5 are fitted to bottoms of acrylic resin hollow cylinders 4 constituting them. The cylinders 4 are connected with a side pipe 6, and a glass filter 7 is filled at its center. 6N-KOH aqueous solution of 60 deg.C is stored as an electrolyte 8. Metal meshes 9 made of Ni steel are fitted at bottoms of the cylinders 4. Alloy 5-50g made of CaNi with the 400-mesh grain size is added to the electrolyte 8 of the hydrogen electrode 2, and activated carbon 1-10g impregnated with Ag with the 300-mesh grain size is added to the oxygen electrode 3. When the hydrogen gas and oxygen gas are guided through the pipes 5, pulverized hydrogen catalyst and oxygen catalyst form fluid beds in the electrolyte 8 to generate the voltage. |
